Seaside Snorkel – Snoopy's Other Life

Spinnaker's first collaboration with Peanuts, the Pilot Error collection on the Spitfire Smith platform, placed Snoopy in the aviation context that the Flying Ace character inhabits — aerial mistakes, nocturnal manoeuvres, confusion in the clouds. The Seaside Snorkel collection operates in an entirely different register. Where Pilot Error was about consequence, tension and imagination under pressure, Seaside Snorkel is about the opposite: leisure, water, sunshine, the kind of uncomplicated relationship with the sea that only exists on holiday.

The Seaside Snorkel Snoopy character is one of Schulz's most universally appealing incarnations — a beagle in swim fins and a mask, engaging with the ocean on his own terms, without the weight of an imaginary war or the pressure of a heroic narrative. It is Snoopy at his most approachable, and placing him on a watch that is genuinely built for water is the most coherent design decision Spinnaker could have made with this concept.

Shadowed Steel – All Black, Full Depth

The Shadowed Steel colourway makes the most committed colour decision in the Seaside Snorkel collection: black bezel, black dial, black silicone strap. The only contrast comes from the silver stainless steel case — which is enough. Against the black dial, the Snoopy artwork reads with maximum graphic clarity, the character's characteristic black and white linework emerging from the dark background the way a diver's silhouette emerges from the darkness of deep water.

The name Shadowed Steel earns its specificity. This is not merely a black watch — it is a watch whose darkness is precise, architectural, deliberate.
